When we launched QRANK: The Texas Tribune Edition a few weeks back, I explained that we were giving you time to get acclimated to the game and to translating your knowledge of Texas politics and policy into the highest possible score before we turned up the competitive heat. Well, time's up. Starting today, anyone who takes our daily news trivia quiz will vie for a monthly prize — the leaderboard listing the top finishers each day will have a new tab tracking the best of the best over a thirty-day (or thirty-one-day) period. At the end of each month, we'll hand off some terrific loot to the smart and lucky soul in first place. Then, at the end of the year, we'll have an enormous prize for our 2011 champ. A good incentive to play, yes? And to keep up with the latest happenings at the Capitol and beyond by reading the Trib each day.
Our February prize: dinner for 2 at Second Bar + Kitchen, the swanky new restaurant on the ground floor of the Austonian at the corner of 2nd and Congress in downtown Austin. Thanks to Second's partners, Jeff Trigger, David Bull, Jeff Rhein and Scott Walker, for their generosity and hospitality.
