Ads Infinitum: DGA's "Daughters"
The Democratic Governors Association released its second ad in the Texas gubernatorial race on Tuesday.
This commerical, titled "Daughters," attacks incumbent Republican Gov. Rick Perry for pushing an ultimately unsuccessful plan to mandate HPV vaccinations for middle school girls in Texas. The ad is reportedly playing in the Dallas area.
Despite recent poll numbers indicating that Perry may be pulling away from Democratic candidate Bill White, the ad buy — made through a DGA-financed group called Lone Star First — is an indication that the DGA believes its guy may have a shot.
