Ads Infinitum: White Campaign on the Silver Screen
It may feature small actors, but the newest political ad for Democratic gubernatorial Bill White is destined for the big screen.
It will be a part of an Oct. 5 event at the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin called "Texas Filmmakers for Bill White." As the name implies, this short by filmmaker Miguel Alvarez is just one of many entries that will be shown — but it's the first to be released publicly.
It focuses on kids who have only known a Texas under Gov. Rick Perry's leadership. Fun fact: It also features the subtle dramatic stylings of Austin American-Statesman columnist Ken Herman.
