TribBlog: Henry Cisneros Endorses...
Today the former San Antonio mayor, former U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and recent social studies textbook reject publicly backed the Democratic gubernatorial candidate in a big, iconic state with a screwed-up Capitol culture and an incumbent governor who is occasionally the subject of unkind comments elsewhere in the country.
No, not that candidate.
Cisneros, now the executive chairman of CityView, a L.A.-based commercial and residential real-estate developer, endorsed Andrew Cuomo, the attorney general of New York, in his bid to succeed Saturday Night Live fave David Paterson as the next governor of the Empire State. Cuomo replaced Cisneros as HUD secretary.
