Dallas public television station KERA hosted the first gubernatorial primary debate for the GOP. On February 8, it will do the same thing for the Democrats.

Here's the announcement:

Houston Mayor Bill White and millionaire businessman Farouk Shami have accepted an invitation from KERA and its media partners to debate on Monday February 8 at 7:00 p.m. The hour-long debate will take place before a studio audience with questions coming from journalists, voters and social media. It will be broadcast statewide on television, radio and online.

This will be the third gubernatorial primary debate of the season. Republican candidates Gov. Rick Perry, U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, and Debra Medina will face each other for the second and final time during a debate hosted by Belo on January 29.
