The Texas Republican Party must be certain Houston Mayor Bill White's getting in the race for governor. They've already produced a web ad called "Too Liberal for Texas", an effort to sully White's image as a pro-business, moderate Democrat. To the tune of the Platters song, "The Great Pretender", the RPT goes after White's record. Watch for yourself:
