Good News and Bad News for Farmers
Despite the multiyear drought that has caused ranchers to sell millions of heads of cattle, Texas led the nation in livestock sales over the past five years. According to a report from the Associated Press, the good news is that the number of farms rose over that time span, but the bad news is that Texas lost some 200,000 acres of farmland.
